My birthday and spring break (I am a teacher) were just a weeks ago, and I made it my job to treat myself all week. I have crafted a dream treat yo self day in Nashville. If you live in Nashville or make a visit, I highly recommend all of these places for any day, treat yo self or not.

Massage at The Lotus Room

Start your day with a morning massage at The Lotus Room. When I went, I received a calming and revitalizing therapeutic massage from Cassandra. The Lotus Room also offers thai yoga massage, ayurveda sleep therapy, and much more. This is both an affordable and high-quality spot, located on 18th Ave. S.

Refresh at Coffee & Coconuts

It is important to hydrate after a massage, and the best way to do that, in my opinion, is by drinking coconut water out of an actual coconut at Coffee & Coconuts. It is well-worth the short drive to Franklin to come to this charming, beach-themed coffee shop for a little taste of summer.

Afternoon tea at the Cafe at Thistle Farms

I went to afternoon tea at the Cafe at Thistle Farms on my birthday, and it was the best. Such a treat to be served little savories and sweets and a delightful choice of teas. It felt so fancy and special! The cafe, located on Charlotte Ave., serves afternoon tea daily between 1-3 p.m. by reservation.

The Nail Bar + No Baked Cookie Dough

If you are ready to keep going after tea (and don’t need a nap!), head to the Nail Bar for a manicure or pedicure either in Green Hills or the Gulch. Then, pop by No Baked Cookie Dough on 28th Ave. N for a sweet treat (or, save this one for after dinner). You can eat the cookie dough as is, or do what I did and go home and make cookies with it!

Dinner at Le Sel

Le Sel is one of the best restaurants in Nashville, for sure – so elegant, warm, charming, and French! Try the bucheron cheese, shaved bayonne ham, bistro greens, trout, or bouillabaisse – You really can’t go wrong here. I came here on my birthday, too, and they served me champagne and a delightful chocolate pastry!
