Summer may technically last until September 21st, but in the South, school starts back this month. As a teacher, I have just a few days left of summer vacation. But that does not mean I am saying goodbye to summer just yet. I am sharing some Nashville must-dos to soak up the rest of the season!
Keep chilling by the pool
Whenever I stop going to the pool, summer feels over. Nashville is so hot right now that it is totally acceptable to sit by the pool later in the day, after work! Once school starts, I still plan to lounge poolside at least once or twice a week – and definitely with a watermelon Waterloo in hand. This is my new favorite sparkling water. It tastes just like a real watermelon! Head to Whole Foods in Hill Center to grab some.
Lunch at Restoration Hardware
If you have not been to the new Restoration Hardware in Green Hills, change that immediately! It is a luxurious and massive four-story gallery. Start with lunch on the first floor and wind your way up through the bright, fresh spaces. It all feels like a dream!
Drinks at Pearl Diver
Pearl Diver is, hands down, the best new bar in town. Tropical and relaxed, the space is like walking into an island paradise. Drinks, food, and music are beach-themed and delightful. Here, I drank the signature cocktail – the Pearl Diver, a tasty rum slush. Go when you need to pretend you are on an exotic vacation.
Happy summering, everyone! It is not over yet!
