Fall is one of my favorite times of year to travel. It is such a beautiful season in so many parts of the country and abroad. Mild weather, bright colors, clear skies – What could be better?
I have compiled some travel inspiration and ideas so that you can plan your perfect fall getaway. Although I use Nashville as a home base here, these are amazing places to visit, no matter where you live.
Affordable Domestic Flights
Southwest has always been my go-to airline, and they run so many awesome deals this time of year (Note: These are all Friday – Sunday prices):
Chicago
Flights to Chicago start as low as $158. Chicago makes an awesome girls weekend!
Florida Panhandle
Flights to Panama City Beach are as low as $110 this fall (look in November)! Fall in Florida can be really beautiful – think dreamy, warm beach days.
Denver
Flights to Denver start at $146 this October! Or, head there in November for as low as $99 (seriously – and it’s nonstop)! The perfect place and time of year for gorgeous, cool hikes.
Boston
I found nonstop flights to Boston as low as $67 this October and November. Amazing. Such a fun city to explore!
Charleston
Flights to Charleston are hard to come by, but I found a few starting at $153 this fall. Book these fast!
New York City
Flights to New York (LaGuardia) are as inexpensive as $129 this fall! NYC is one of my favorite places in the world – and so perfect to visit at this time of year!
Washington, D.C.
Flights to Washington, D.C. (DCA) are as cheap as $97! D.C. makes for a lovely fall weekend trip!
Los Angeles
If you are looking for a bigger adventure, I found weekend flights to Los Angeles as cheap as $143! Go go go!
Easy Road Trips
Chattanooga
Drive 2 hours to Chattanooga, TN. Chattanooga is quick and easy, but beautiful and fun! There is a lot to see and do – think chic hotels, darling shops, yummy eats, and amazing hikes.
Asheville
4.5-hour drive to Asheville, NC. This is one that I am doing this fall, and I cannot wait! I have driven through Asheville before, and it is so charming! I am so excited to stop and stay to explore the shops and enjoy the outdoors.
St. Louis
4.5-hour drive to St. Louis, MO. I visited St. Louis last fall and loved it at this time of year. I stayed in this dreamy Airbnb and felt so cozy and at home.
Little Rock
5-hour drive to Little Rock, AR. I lived in Little Rock for a year, and the hikes at Petit Jean and Pinnacle Mountain are irresistible in October.
Ambitious Travel
If you are looking to go overseas (and fall is an amazing time to do that), I have some deals for you. Now that British Airways has a direct flight from Nashville to London, this is one of the cheapest ways to go abroad! (These prices are all available at the end of October.)
Paris
Go to Paris, France this October for $507 round trip via British Airways!
Dublin
Head to Dublin, Ireland for $643 round trip through BA!
Amsterdam
Visit Amsterdam for $490 round trip (yes, via BA)! Amazing.
Where will you go this fall?! Please tell me your plans in the comments! Happy booking. 🙂
