Yesterday, I was invited to try the new Omorovicza Facial Fridays at Private Edition. Never having experienced a facial at all before, I went in with no clue what to expect. My esthetician warmly greeted me and kindly laughed when I told her I had never had a facial – She said I was starting with the Rolls-Royce of facials!
The facial that I was to have used all Omorovicza products, a luxury skincare brand that originated in Budapest and was inspired by the remarkable healing thermal waters in the city. Every product my esthetician used during the facial smelled and felt incredible. Here is essentially how the facial went (I am sure I am forgetting a few steps as the experience totally zenned me out!): gentle make-up removal, cleanser, exfoliation, a mask, massage cream with an invigorating facial, neck, and shoulder massage, a hydrating mask, hand and arm massage, serum, and finally, moisturizer.
The Omorovicza facial is focused on the intensive, firming massage. I was told that it is very different from typical facials (for example, there are no extractions). It was incredibly lovely and relaxing – the scent of the Omorovicza products, the water bed, the massages.
Facial Fridays occur each Friday at Private Edition and are delivered by an extremely skilled esthetician (often flown in from Europe). Here is what is so cool about these facials: They are complimentary with your purchase of Omorovicza products! All you do is book your treatment online here, show up for your facial, and afterwards, you can buy the products that you loved the best (warning: it will be hard to choose!).
Here are some of the goodies I got to take home! I love them all. Omorovicza is just a really special brand. Here’s their story: In the 1800’s the Omorovicza family built a thermal bath on a medieval healing spring. Hungarian thermal water is distinctive because it absorbs beneficial minerals more effectively, as the earth’s crust is thinner there. Budapest actually has more thermal water springs than any other city and is named the “International Spa City.”
Fast forward to the 2000’s when Stephen de Heinrech de Omorovicza was living in Budapest and met US diplomat Margaret, who struggled with her skin. He took her to the baths his family built, and she was amazed at the water’s effect – It totally cleared up her skin! The couple launched Omorovicza in 2006, and it is now an award-winning luxury skincare brand across the world.
Try it for yourself and see how amazing these products are! Book an Omorovicza facial on Facial Fridays at Private Edition here, show up for your facial, and after, pick out your favorite products to take home. The experience is $250, which I know is expensive, but you are getting all of the products and the facial for that price. And they are high-quality! As my esthetician said, it is the Rolls-Royce of facials.
Happy skin caring!
