I absolutely love this time of year. The festivities, time spent with loved ones, the food – This whole stretch from November through December just feels happy, cozy, and homey. One of my favorite ways to celebrate is with Friendsgiving, an extra holiday spent with friends so that you can enjoy Thanksgiving twice! I was able to host a simple, low-prep Friendsgiving with my favorite people thanks to The Honey Baked Ham Company. I am sharing my entertaining tips so you can host your own easy affair, too:
Step 1: A Welcoming Porch
White pumpkins are my favorite because they are simple, tasteful, and can match any entryway. Pumpkins are not just for Halloween – I love to keep a few up for November. A welcoming entry = happy vibes for guests. Here’s H and I donning our comfy wear, ready for our friends to arrive.
Step 2: Earth-toned Tablescape
As a Nashville native, I opted for a simple, Southern-inspired tabletop. I found this table runner as well as the leaves, pumpkins, and pine cones during our recent trip to Asheville at Mission at the Grove (see some similar pieces here, here, and here). I used my mom’s glass turkey to incorporate a well-loved holiday emblem (see similar here).
Step 3: Serve an Effortless Feast
HoneyBaked makes it so easy. I reserved my order online a few days before the event and picked it up in-store the morning of. I chose to serve a Honey Baked Boneless Ham, Roasted Turkey Breast, Double Cheddar Macaroni & Cheese, Tuscan-Style Broccoli, Maple Sweet Potato Souffle, Cinnamon Apples, and Dinner Rolls.
The honey baked boneless ham (above) and turkey breast come pre-sliced and ready-to-serve at room temperature and with a sweet, crunchy glaze. HoneyBaked’s meats are lean, tender, and delicious!
HoneyBaked’s side dishes were the perfect complements. All I had to do was heat them, and serve! It was so easy, and they came out of the oven smelling heavenly.
Step 4: Eat!
Eating is the best part, right?! I loved getting to sit down with my friends and enjoy a seriously incredible meal – that I didn’t even have to cook! HoneyBaked was the best choice – because friends don’t let friends cook on Friendsgiving.
Are you hosting a Friendsgiving this year? How are you prepping? I would love to hear about yours in the comments!
