It was raining and sleeting yesterday. Today it feels bitterly cold. I’m all about embracing the season at hand, but once it’s March, I crave warm weather. Spring break and beach vacations are suddenly so near. Here’s a few ways I’ve been surviving this (hopefully) last blast of super cold weather:
A hydrating facial
This past weekend, I was treated to an incredible HydraFacial at OVME. I’m not super knowledgable about the world of beauty, and had never heard of HydraFacials until OVME reached out to me. As it turns out, they are magical. My face was gently exfoliated, extracted, and hydrated to smooth, clear perfection. It was non-irritating, and I left feeling so relaxed. I highly recommend one, especially if your skin has been dry like mine this winter.
Fresh candles
Simply Sunday Candles sent me two of their rejuvenating scents, and I am so in love! I have been lighting #5, endless love, during the day, with its scent of sea salt, jasmine, and orchid flowers. Candle #3, relaxation, is a dream at night, drifting notes of lavender and lemon through my home. Both give me all the spring feels.
Happy flowers
If winter is still outside, bring spring inside. I have decorated my apartment for spring, including fresh flowers from Whole Foods, to give me the illusion of warmth and sunshine. I always find that flowers brighten my space.
Informative reads
What better way to forget about the cold than losing yourself in an eye-opening book? I am just starting The Road Back to You (an exploration of Enneagram types by which to learn more about yourself and others) and The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up, the guide by Marie Kondo for decluttering your home by keeping what “sparks joy,” and what doesn’t. I have heard nothing but good things about these books, and as I’ve become so fascinated by the Enneagram test (my own type is 1, if you’re curious!) and the KonMari method, I am expecting to fully love them! You might consider checking these out, too, but be prepared to become obsessed.
P.S. Shopping for spring clothes helps! Here’s some of my favorite new everyday spring wear as well as comfortable spring activewear.

We had such gorgeous weather last week. If it had been lighter, we probably would have had dinner outside every day! I’m definitely ready for spring and (consistently) better weather. But I’m also a bit excited that rain is in the forecast from this afternoon till tomorrow morning. I just need some tulips to brighten up our living room in the meantime.
Anyway, I’ve added The Road Back To You to my reading list. Let me know what you think of it! (I took a free test a while ago and I *think* I’m a four. I don’t know why it won’t resonate with me!)
