H and I moved this past weekend to a new home that we absolutely love. I cannot let boxes sit for long, so I unpacked quickly and somewhat obsessively. I wanted to feel settled as soon as possible so that I could focus on details and decor! Currently, our master bathroom is being renovated, and H has been painting the kitchen cabinets. So, I’m not ready to give you a full home tour quite yet, but I did want to share some of the new accessories and pieces we have that I’m just loving.
It’s been fun to move somewhere new at the start of spring, because spring feels like a fresh start anyway. The season lends itself to bright rooms and happy colors, so I’ve implemented these vibes into our new space! Here’s some things that are making me smile:
Wall Art
I took this photo in my favorite place on Earth, and waluv turned it into an acrylic print for me. This Nashville-based company creates art out of your most beloved photos! How cool is this? I just stuck it on the wall using their adhesives. It totally enhances the room and my mood, and is just so special to me.
Earth Tones
We have a suede brown couch in our living room (from my childhood!), and it begged for green pillows. I snagged the above at Home Goods in Bellevue, as well as the soft pink blanket. The natural, earthy tones are so perfect for this time of year.
Beachy Bedding
I’m a beach gal, and simply enamored with light blue and white (my favorites to both wear and implement at home). When I discovered Parachute Home’s cloud-like collection, I knew I’d found my dream bedding. Paired with our Leesa Mattress, our bed feels so soft and luxurious! It’s instant relaxation – like a day by the ocean.
Plants and Books
Nothing quite brings my heart joy like a room filled with plants and books. They’re two of my favorite things in life, and I believe they create such a homey feel. When my home needs a refresh, I often head to a local nursery, or even shop artificial plants (no one can ever tell the difference!). I also love having my books on display. (See what I’m reading now on this post.)
Things are a work in progress, but these elements make me feel right at home. Happy almost spring, friends!
