This past weekend, I had the joy of decorating our home for fall! I’ve always loved to decorate for seasons and holidays, so any time the opportunity presents itself, I delight in it. H and I moved into our condo in March, so it’s our first fall in this new space. Last year, when I still lived alone, I kept my space pretty neutral. But now that we have warmer tones – especially in the living room – I decided to embrace oranges and golds.
The Living Room
I decided to go for the gold in the living room (ha!). I took the pillows that we already had, and placed some new covers over them – so easy! Then, I took the fall blankets out of storage, and tucked the summer ones away. I placed artificial pumpkins and flowers around the room, and traded my summer candles for fall-scented ones. I displayed some candy corn for guests to enjoy, paired with gold leaf napkins. And voilà! The room went from green and earthy to bright and festive.

The Mantel
This is my first ever time having a mantel! I didn’t specifically seek out pieces for the mantel, but mostly used things that I already had, like the table runner and leaf bundle from my Friendsgiving last year. I actually quite like these things on the mantel, even if they’re meant for a dining table! Then, I added the pumpkins, candle, and photo of us.

The Breakfast Table
I decided to keep things a little more neutral on the breakfast table since the room contains more permanent grays and greens. As for the little plates, I regularly host girls nights in our condo and thought they would be perfect for our “snack dinners” this season!

The Front Door
One of my favorite things to do to mark the new season is change the wreath on our door. I have found my last few seasonal wreaths at Target. I love seeing this pop of color every day when I come home!
