The first crisp mornings
I always notice the season changing when we have that first cool morning. For us in Nashville, this occurred these past two days. Both mornings, I woke up and let Cleo outside, pleasantly shivering at the bite in the air. The crispness of fall air always refreshes and invigorates me.
Apples in season
There’s just something about a fresh fall apple. I get excited each September seeing McIntosh apples again – and eventually, Honeycrisp apples, too. Of course, sometimes these are available year-round, but I prefer to eat them when they’re in season (along with most produce). What’s your preferred apple?
Planning soup + baking recipes
Two of the best things to eat in the fall are soups and baked goods! If you have a favorite soup or baking recipe, please share it in the comments.
An opportunity to declutter
With each new season, I evaluate what I own and donate what I no longer need. In recent times, I have been trying to accumulate less by buying less, hoping to make the decluttering process easier each time. If you’re needing to do the same, see how I keep my drawers organized for some relevant tips.
A fresh start
January isn’t the only month for a fresh start. I think as we head into the latter part of the year, fall can be a wonderful time to begin again, whether you’re wanting to start a new habit, creative project, or routine. I recommend writing down your goal and coming up with some actionable steps. See some tips for doing this here.
What are you most looking forward to this month?
