This year, I foresee many of us having more intimate, casual Thanksgivings. We plan to celebrate just with our immediate family. I think it’ll make the holiday feel a lot more laid-back and relaxed. Although the day might look a little different, there’s no reason it still can’t be joyful. I’m sharing some things for a low-key Thanksgiving Day:
A Welcoming Doormat
My doormat from Anthropologie sold out fast, but see a similar one here. I love a festive doormat and some pumpkins or mums to greet guests.
Comfy Clothes
This is the perfect year to stay comfy. My recycled plaid scarf is unbelievably soft and pairs beautifully with a cozy sweater dress and my favorite shoes.
Simple Table Decor
There’s no need for a grand tablescape this year. Go simple but festive with your centerpiece. Here’s a similar neutral pumpkin, wool felted acorns, and sunflower bundle.
Comforting Eats
With a more informal gathering, it can be nice to have some casual eats around, like pumpkin bread (mine has dark chocolate chips and dried cranberries) and snack mix (I recommend leaving out the sweet stuff for Thanksgiving week).
What will your Thanksgiving look like this year?
P.S. A simple, rustic Thanksgiving tablescape and versatile neutral fall style.
