Over this rainy weekend, I decorated our home for one of my favorite times of year – fall! I did not buy anything new, but used decorations I have had and loved over the past few years. It was fun to reimagine where I might place everything since we have not lived in our current home during the fall before (see last year)! Everything feels extra cozy now.
CREAM VELVET PILLOW COVERS | BUFFALO CHECK PLAID PILLOW COVER | SIMILAR PLAID WOVEN THROW | GOLD FLEECE THROW BLANKET
For each season, instead of buying new pillows, I find it simpler to swap out pillow covers. They are much easier to store! I covered our spring green pillows with neutral tones and prints, and I placed my favorite comfy blankets on each couch. My gold fleece one is especially soft – I love snuggling up in it and watching autumnal shows and movies.
Autumn Garland | Similar Ceramic Pumpkin | Woven Pumpkins | Similar Dahlia | Candle Holder | Flameless Candles | Fall Candles
I loved gathering special items that I’ve collected over the years to display them – like the knit acorn and pumpkin that I found at Giftery a few years ago, the snow globe that my mom got me for Christmas, and the fun garland I found on Etsy. I believe we should love and treasure the items in our home, and if we do not connect with something, it might be time to part with it. I placed the books the opposite way because I prefer the neutral look, and I wanted the colors of my decor to pop.
Faux Rusted Eucalyptus Plant Wreath | Mrs. Meyers Apple Cider Multi-Surface Cleaner, Hand Soap, & Dish Soap | Similar Plaid Placemats | Similar Basket | Similar Mini Pumpkins
In the kitchen, I replaced our green eucalyptus wreath with this rusted one. I also swap out our kitchen cleaning products each season, and I picked out the Mrs. Meyers Apple Cider scent for this fall, which is so lovely! I decorated the table as I did last year.
