I had been looking for a few neutral, longer outerwear options for fall outfits. I knew I wanted comfort, lovely style, and versatility – items I could wear with a dress just as well as with leggings. After browsing my usual sites and doing a Google search, I found what I had in mind online at the Banana Republic Factory sale. Although I had never shopped there before, I appreciated the affordable price points and the fact that they had petite options. I decided to order a wrap jacket and duster cardigan, both of which come in petite and regular sizes.
Although it appears they’ve since run out of the petite size, here’s the regular Long Wrap Jacket in champagne. I think it’s darling and a flattering cut; the sleeves are the perfect length (which rarely happens for me), and it falls mid-thigh. It’s also the ideal weight for autumn.
I feel the same way about the Petite Open-Front Duster Cardigan (here it is in the regular size). It’s unusual when something fits me just right and I don’t even have to roll the sleeves up! This feels tailor-made. I wore this cardigan all day at school and found it so comfortable and effortless. It is also the weight I like for fall in Nashville and can be worn in the crisp mornings through the sunny afternoons.
I am so happy with both purchases; they are of wonderful quality and will be staples in my closet for years to come!
