I am really looking forward to Thanksgiving next week! I have a day and a half of work and then the rest of the week off to rest, eat my favorite food, and be with loved ones. My preferred Thanksgiving week is calm, relaxing, and simple. Today, I am sharing some home and style inspiration for an easy and cozy holiday.
Thanksgiving Table
For your Thanksgiving table, I love the idea of using natural elements like real mini pumpkins or colorful fall leaves. Last weekend, I hosted by girlfriends for a Friendsgiving. The day before, I collected some beautiful leaves and kept them stored flatly and tightly in a bag, then spread them out the night of. I paired them with some classic candlesticks and tapers, and set the table with linens and dishes that I’ve had and loved the past few years.
At the Friendsgiving, my friend Ashley made us delicious autumnal cocktails with Prosecco, apple juice, fresh apple slices, and cinnamon sticks. These would be fun to make with family as well.
A Neutral Porch
I think classic orange pumpkins are best for October and Halloween, and neutral ones are fitting for Thanksgiving. I have had these since late September, and luckily they are still going!
Tea
I enjoy drinking seasonal teas in the fall and winter; it feels so festive! This week, I recommend trying these two. Twinings Chai Spiced Apple is perfect for leisurely cold mornings, and Tazo Organic Baked Cinnamon Apple for evenings by the fire.
A Comfy Outfit
I prefer dressing comfortably (but still cute!) on Thanksgiving Day. Here’s an easy outfit for the day – a soft sweater, duster cardigan, leggings, booties, and fall hat.
And another for walks
As much as I love lounging and relaxing during a holiday week, I find joy and rejuvenation getting out for walks in the park as well. This is one of my favorite outfits for fall walks – the same leggings as above plus a top, my Patagonia fleece vest, and wool sneakers.
