This weekend, some of my bridesmaids and I celebrated my bachelorette party. These parties are something at which I have rolled my eyes for a while now, especially living in Nashville. Being from Nashville, going downtown is the last thing I want to do. I’m also just not a big drinker. I prefer smaller and simpler gatherings (but still fun, of course!), and I truly think we achieved the perfect bachelorette weekend for me and our group. I opted to stay in town instead of going on a trip somewhere, as most of my bridal party lives here, and it just felt easy.
Saturday at 1:00 p.m. – Pool Time
We started the party on Saturday afternoon at one of my bridesmaid’s aunt’s pools here in Nashville. It was a beautiful space surrounded by lush greenery and gorgeous spring blooms. My sweet mom got all the snacks and decorations for us – hummus, guacamole, popcorn, pretzels, watermelon, strawberries with chocolate, cute Rifle Paper Co. napkins and plates and celebratory cups in which to drink our Spindrift and rosé. We kept things cool with ice and ice packs sitting underneath the cold items.
My mom also got us these silly flamingo glasses (similar here) and my sash! I snagged this comfy white swimsuit when Target had their collaboration with Stoney Clover a few weeks ago – such a great find.
The afternoon flew by; we very much enjoyed snacking, sitting in and around the pool, and chatting. It was a hot day with some cloud cover, and we were quite comfortable! By late afternoon, we went to our separate homes to shower, change, and chill.
Saturday at 8:00 p.m. – Dinner
That night, we gathered for a celebratory dinner at Barcelona Wine Bar, a fun tapas restaurant with an amazing wine list (love the Cava). I wore this embroidered white midi dress (more of a maxi on me). They were able to seat us on the patio which was ideal! The server let us know that they offered a “party menu” in which they would choose the bites for the table for a flat fee per person, and we could just sit and enjoy the wine. While this sounded fun, we had some different dietary needs and decided to choose our plates instead. We shared a cheese board, the broccolini, patatas bravas, and spinach and chickpea cazuela – all of which I would recommend!
After dinner, we snapped this self-timer photo near the restaurant and then each headed home and to bed – my kind of night!
Sunday at 10:30 a.m. – Walk in the park
To conclude this bachelorette weekend, we originally had planned on going to brunch at Roze Pony, which is a darling spot here, but after eating so much the night before and being greeted by another beautiful day this morning, I suggested canceling brunch and going for a walk instead – one of my favorite things to do.
We met at the park with our pups for a sun-filled, warm 3ish-mile loop. It was a lovely morning and the best way to end the party.
I loved my simple bachelorette weekend! What would be your ideal bachelorette party?
