Yesterday afternoon, I headed to Flying Ghost Pumpkin Patch with a few friends. It has been my favorite spot to buy pumpkins and mums for the past few years – I love the wide variety of colors, all shades of green, white, orange, and cream, and shapes, from flat to round or tall. Plus, everything seems fresh and lasts a while into the season.
I loaded my basket with a couple of flat creamy, neutral orange (fairytale) ones, with slightly smaller white ones to layer on top. I grabbed two classic white (or ghost) pumpkins, and then a few mini pumpkins to place inside among my plants. I also picked out two yellow/white combination mums.
When I got home, I first wiped all the pumpkins down with a soft damp microfiber cloth, rubbing away any removable dirt or stains. Then, I planted my mums in my two sage greens pots and was pleased to see they fit perfectly. I placed my pumpkins in front of the pots and love how much they pop!
I think it all goes quite nicely with my eucalyptus planters, autumn wreath (similar here), and doormat. I like it even better than last year’s front porch.
How will you decorate your front porch for fall? Which pumpkins are your favorites?
