This year, instead of buying new wrapping supplies, I decided to use materials I already had. I saved paper grocery bags for a few weeks and wrapped all my Christmas gifts with them, along with some white-and-gold string and labels from seasons past. I wasn’t sure how it would go with the paper bags and was pleasantly surprised by how well it worked and how easy it ended up being! The steps are pretty simple.
- Cut the sides and bottom of the bag to split it into two equal parts.
- For a small gift, one half of the bag is sufficient. Flip it with the text side in and wrap it just as you would normal wrapping paper.
- For a larger gift, place it in between both halves of the bag, then fold and tape them together.
- Tie with string and finish with a label.
I have never been great at wrapping gifts, but I like how they turned out. If you’re a good wrapper, I’m sure yours will look even better!
How are you wrapping your gifts this year?
