I have always loved celebrating seasons and holidays, and I first decorated for Valentine’s Day when we moved into our current home and did so again last year. I started putting together Valentine’s looks from pieces in my closet as well. Embracing all things pink and hearts may not be for everyone, but I enjoy leaning into it.
Style
Lake Pajamas, my go-to for comfy pieces, released their new Valentine’s collection this month (heads up: it sells out every year!). As a partner with Lake, they sent me this adorable pink heart set – though I have been wearing their pajamas long before I partnered with them! I love Lake because their pajamas are so soft, well-made, timeless, and just darling. They can be worn for years to come.
I think it’s fun, too, to pick out Valentine’s outfits on my garment rack in our bedroom. The dresses above are from years past, and this year, I have a goal of clothes-shopping much more intentionally by rejecting fast-fashion and purchasing from ethical, sustainable, and smaller brands, and only when I truly need something or have a gap in my closet. The items I am sharing below are from such brands.
Home
Decorating with pink makes our home feel more cheery and inviting during the cold winter days. I love leaving out the string lights for coziness, and adding blankets, flowers, candles, and books all in Valentine’s colors and tones. It just makes me happy to curl up in this corner with a cup of tea. As with my wardrobe, everything here is from years past (except for my Bearaby blanket!), but I’ve gathered lots of similar fun items below.
Will you decorate or dress for Valentine’s Day this year?
