This August has been all about moving and getting settled into our new house (as well as school starting, as it is every year). First, I shared the beginnings of our home and then more details on a bright, sunny morning. This weekend, our screen porch has come together at last. Since my last post, we added this rug and these couch pillows. Having this space is such a treat, and I cannot wait for all the time I will spend there once it’s not so wildly hot. It is such a relaxing spot, and while I love all of our new home (the living room and kitchen feel simply dreamy to me) the screen porch just might be my favorite – and I think it’s Cleo’s, too. The previous owners left string lights that look lovely when plugged in at night, and we have a TV set up on the wall where this morning, I sipped my tea and watched news. I am anticipating the days ahead – cool autumn afternoons snuggled on the couch, and perhaps adding pumpkins to the coffee table.
I feel so thankful to be a homeowner and am simply enjoying this time when everything feels new and fun.
