We have now been in our new home for 7 weeks, and since then, it’s been lovely to enjoy our sun-filled rooms, laze on the screen porch, watch the flora and fauna in our yard, decorate for fall and add a new detail. Today brought more joy; I went to Flying Ghost Pumpkin Patch for my annual pumpkin-and-mum picking day. I always love visiting the pumpkin patch and finding new, fresh decorations for the new season.
For our front porch, I chose a pair of classic orange, soft neutral orange, and white pumpkins, as well as orange mums. I may eventually put the mums in pots that I have at the bottom of the stairs, but there’s currently still summer flowers there thriving, so I’ll wait for the first freeze.
I love a trio of pumpkins in different colors (see last year).
I set two large orange pumpkins on either wall that borders our driveway for a festive welcome.
On the screen porch, I placed two little white pumpkins on the table.
Small pumpkins on each side of our screen porch door add some extra fun.
Have you picked out your pumpkins and mums this year?
