It’s Halloween weekend, and it seems the last weekend with 80s temperatures for a while. We’ve had a little warm spell before things cool down significantly tomorrow, and I have been loving it. Here are some little moments of magic from the weekend.
The Leaves
Here are trees in our back and front yard; I woke up Saturday to a blanket of orange just beyond the screen porch. I have been enjoying the vibrant colors before everything falls.
Monster Cookies
Saturday afternoon, I made these gluten-free monster cookies (which I did two years ago as well!). They are quick and easy to make, and chewy and delicious to eat – a perfect Halloween treat!
Halloween Party
We attended our neighbors’ Halloween party this weekend; I prepared two quick and easy cheese boards with crackers, fig jam, and rosemary almonds. H and I pulled together a last-minute costume as Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash. We recently moved into our neighborhood, so it was special to be included.
The Screen Porch
Sitting out here with my morning tea, listening to the rustling wind and bird songs, and just enjoying the peace and quiet of falling leaves has been an absolute dream this weekend.
What little magic moments have you experienced lately? I love noticing the little joys in each day; it makes life sweeter. I hope you have a relaxing Sunday evening – I unfortunately woke up sick today, and will be resting – and a happy Halloween!
P.S. Fall break fun in Nashville and glowing Halloween decorations.
