Saturday night, I had friends over for a cozy and casual evening. I made butternut squash soup, cooked in our Staub Cocotte (a lovely wedding present) which is a dream for preparing warm dishes. I roasted pumpkin seeds coated with olive oil and sprinkled with sea salt to serve atop the soup. I sliced a gluten-free baguette and warmed it in the oven.
I picked up this petite bouquet from Whole Foods (always love these), and it made for a sweet and simple centerpiece. I set the table with these napkins and some wedding gifts – this beautiful flatware set and dishes from this set (both on sale now).
I prepped the kitchen island with glassware and cocktail napkins, and mixed up apple cider mimosas (which were served at our wedding!) with Prosecco and apple cider.
Before everyone arrived, I turned on soft lamps and lit favorite fall candles in the kitchen, living room, and powder room for a cozy atmosphere, and I played music from a speaker.
Cleo was all ready to greet our guests! My friends brought a warm, comforting appetizer, a fall salad, and dessert with apples and spices. It was a festive and fun time!
