Happy December! This joyful and bright month brings Christmas trees and lights to admire – one of my favorite things about the holiday season. This past week, I decorated our Christmas tree and wrapped some lights around our wreath (in addition to our boxwood lights, which I set up previously) and love how our home glows for the season.
I placed net lights on our boxwood bushes, plugged in with an extension cord and a timer so our lights automatically come on when it gets dark and turn off when we prefer. I also placed a wreath from a few years ago on our front door using this wreath hanger, along with these easy battery-operated lights with an automatic timer.
I absolutely love the new Christmas tree I found this year; I knew for our living room, I needed a more narrow tree that would fit in our front window, and this one is just perfect. It was easy for me to set up and fluff, as well as to decorate, and I am so happy with the result. I wrapped our felt pom pom tree skirt around the tree, which was a bit large for it, but still cute. Then I decorated with red and gold baubles, glittered pinecones, little colorful baubles and gingerbread, gold garland, and other ornaments we have collected from travels and gifts. It is the most colorful and sparkling our tree has been, and it livens up the room.
Have you brightened up your home with Christmas lights? I love the warmth and coziness so much. A very merry first December weekend to you!

P.P.S. This was my first post in which I used photos taken on my new iPhone 15! What do you think? I’m pretty happy with the quality! Previously, I was using my Canon camera for most blog posts. I may use a mix of both now.
