This past week was my spring break – always a much-anticipated time as we bid winter adieu and welcome the warmer, longer days. Last year, H and I traveled to Anguilla for our honeymoon! This year’s break was more low-key, but still wonderful. I stayed home in Nashville for most of it and enjoyed a little mid-week mother-daughter road trip to Greenville to visit family as well.
Nashville highlights
- Attending my first Nashville Soccer Club game against Miami and seeing Messi play with H
- Treating myself to a matcha latte at Roze Pony (and more of these later while on our trip!)
- Decorating for Easter and tidying our screen porch for spring
- Cheekwood in Bloom: Belles Fleurs opening weekend and taking photos with my new camera
- Watching The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version)
- Listening to the new Kacey Musgraves album, Deeper Well
- Long park walks in the sunshine
Greenville highlights
- Staying at the Grand Bohemian Lodge with a view of the falls
- Sitting outside at Carmella’s Cafe & Dessert Bar
- Book shopping and sipping matcha lattes at M. Judson Booksellers
- Tasting honeys at Savannah Bee Company
- Walking around downtown Greenville
- Warm 70s temperatures
I love sweet, simple days like these. I am looking forward to the first day of spring, Easter, my birthday and my mom’s, and more beautiful, bloom-filled days. How are you celebrating the start of spring?
