A very merry holiday to you! Christmas is coming, and for the first time ever, I’m traveling for the holiday to be with my husband H’s family. Feeling a little wistful, I snapped some photos of our home in the morning’s pre-Christmas sunlight.
This year, I wrapped gifts with a bit of this wrapping paper left from last year, and mostly paper and gift tags from my favorite Etsy shop, as well as velvet ribbon. H and I exchanged gifts yesterday morning, before celebrating my grandmother’s 89th birthday. I wore this new pretty and comfy dress. Today, we went to Nashville’s Nutcracker – always a beloved tradition! – with my parents.
After exchanging gifts, I used some of the velvet ribbon to tie more bows on the tree as well as our stockings, and the additional pops of red feel so festive and happy.
I love our bright kitchen in the morning and have been enjoying eating grapefruit – a delicious tradition – in Christmas pajamas.
Wishing you and yours a peaceful, cozy holiday.
P.S. See all my holiday posts.
