Although H usually does the grocery shopping, I love popping in Trader Joe’s to look at their flowers and seasonal offerings. Yesterday, a beautiful spring day (as is today), we got brunch with some friends at True Food, which is across the street from Trader Joe’s. It presented a perfect opportunity to go shop after. Trader Joe’s had some beautiful flowers for spring, so I picked up a bunch of hydrangeas, sweet pink flowers (I cannot remember what they are- let me know if you know!), and small double peony tulips.

I arranged them pretty casually, not necessarily uniform, wanting the bouquet to look whimsical and effortless. I picked up on this technique last month at a floral arranging workshop.

I love these delicate, layered spring blooms; every time I have fresh flowers in the kitchen, they bring beauty and joy.

Trader Joe’s also had the cutest pastel canvas bags for spring in four colors – blue, green, pink, and purple. I loved them immediately and got myself the ones above as well as a pink one for my mom. They feel sturdy and would be useful for small grocery trips, the beach or pool, or errands or other outings.

The rest of the weekend has brought gorgeous walks in the park, more fun time spent with friends, and an Easter brunch with our neighbors. Today, the flowers have opened up more; they look so lovely during this beautiful spring weather. It has been a quintessential dreamy spring weekend!
