I love having friends over, and this mild start to summer felt perfect for hosting an evening on our patio, especially before the bugs and humidity become too much. This was actually the first time having guests sit on our patio, and I am so happy the weather worked out for us.

I found these beautiful blue hydrangeas at Whole Foods, and set out some easy snacks…
- Salsa & chips
- Baby carrots & mini cucumbers
- Crackers
- Two hummus flavors
- Cheddar cheese & vegan spreadable cheese
- Rosemary & sea salt marcona almonds
- Raspberries
- Lemon cookies for a sweet
- Sparkling waters

On this beautiful tray (gift from MacKenzie-Childs for a previous collaboration), I placed a large pitcher of water with some paper plates, napkins, cups, straws, and plasticware that I had saved from previous gatherings, and it made for quite an easy clean-up.

We had such a lovely time and talked and snacked into the evening! Hosting does not need to be fussy or complicated; I love keeping things simple with a bouquet of pretty flowers and easy eats. Do you have any girls’ nights planned this summer?
P.S. More gatherings with friends: a European-inspired girls night in, a cozy galentine’s, and making a vision board.
