I love Valentine’s Day because honestly, I love a good theme and any excuse to celebrate. Plus, the holiday reminds us to love one another. To me, it’s not just about romantic love, but all kinds. I especially enjoy recognizing my girl friends, because really, where would I be without female friendships? Mine are so important to me, so this Valentine’s Day, I plan on having my girls over for a Galentine’s gathering. Here’s what I’m doing!
Decorating with all the pink
Decorations make a room feel warm and festive, and what better color scheme for this holiday than shades of pink? I found these affordable party items at Target: Heart Pattern Dinner Plates, Donut Heart Pattern Napkins, Pink Non Woven Rectangular Table Cover with Scalloped Edges (yep, made it work on our circular table!), and Tassels Party Banner. (I already had the placemats.)
Serving heart-shaped treats
Anything heart-shaped just makes me smile! I got these beautiful cookies at The Picnic Cafe, one of my favorite spots in Nashville. I also love these Trader Joe’s cookies.
Lighting a love-scented candle
What does love smell like? Rose and vanilla, according to Bath & Body Works! Any floral candle would be perfect for Galentine’s.
Displaying plants and flowers
Plants make people happy and brighten up a space! I found this African violet and green plant (I don’t actually know what it is!) at the Antiques and Garden Show in Nashville. If you’re looking for plants locally, try Creekside.
How will you celebrate your galentines this month?!
Love, Bee
