This time of year can be challenging – it’s gloomy and dark, and many of us start to feel ready for spring and sunshine. I recently took down my winter decor and replaced it with pink and cheery things in celebration of Valentine’s Day. It’s a day I’ve never really decorated for before, but doing so this year brought me a lot of joy! Here’s how I made our home happy for the coming month and holiday:
The Bookshelf
Bookshelf | Flowers | Books | Candles
I decorated our living room bookshelf with pink, blush, and white flowers, sweet-scented candles like this new one that I love, romantic books like Pablo Neruda’s Love Poems, a copper leaf, and string lights.
The Couch
Pom-Pom Pillow Cover | Similar Pink Pillow | Heart Blanket | Throw Blankets | Socks
I’ve started keeping fresh flowers by the couch where I typically sit in the living room. I also switched out the dark green pillow covers in favor of lighter ones and added this sweet heart blanket to the couch!
The Bar Cart
Set of Romantic Tumblers | Napkin Holder | Rose Gold Paper Straws | Pink Striped Straws | Heart Napkins
In my last post, I showed my new spring decor on the bar cart. For Valentine’s Day, I included these pink glasses (I have the clear ones, too, and love them), this napkin holder, rose gold straws, pink striped straws, and heart-shaped napkins.
The Kitchen
Kitchen Towels | Heart Plate | More Valentine’s Kitchen & Dining
I love switching out kitchen towels for different holidays and seasons and found these adorable ones as well as more Valentine’s kitchen items – like this plate – from Target’s collection.
Decorating for Valentine’s Day has been fun this year! Do you decorate for the holiday?
P.S. See last year’s Galentine’s celebration and dream with me of when we can have gatherings like this once again.
