H and I are both homeowners together for the first time. After months of house searching, we finally found our perfect fit. We are so delighted to have moved in and have been getting settled over the past week. It takes time to make a house a home, but we have at least gotten our main spaces into a nice livable place and are loving it all so far. Among many wonderful elements, we have a screen porch and backyard, and as outdoor lovers, this is huge for us and our dog. I look forward to sharing these spaces with you as we get them together. For now, here’s a glimpse at some of our new home.

Our living room is bright with big windows (to the left, outside the frame), and is the perfect cozy place at night to curl up on our soft comfy couch with a cup of tea. Before we moved in, we painted these walls (and the master bedroom, both of which were a dark gray) this dreamy color.

We have been able to finally use the rest of our wedding gifts that we didn’t have room for before – like these beautiful candlestick holders that bring whimsy and charm to our casual dining table.
The kitchen, too, fills with light during the day.
It is a space I love being in, cooking or sitting at the island.

Living here feels like a dream. We are so grateful to have this home. I can’t wait to share more with you as we continue to decorate, arrange, and organize, and as it changes through the seasons.
