In Nashville, February brings the first beautiful warmer sunshine-filled afternoons, longer days, and daffodils beginning to bloom, all hinting at spring’s coming. By the middle of the month, I have the winter decor stored away and have gotten out all my green for spring.
It has been a joy welcoming spring for the first time into our new home. I love seeing how everything comes together here. Our eucalyptus wreath makes the perfect entrance.
I love swapping out plants, candles, and seasonal reads on this bookshelf. Now, there are books here that remind me of warmer weather, like Tom Lake, one of my favorite 2023 reads.
One of my favorite ways to welcome a new season is with florals or greenery. I placed this boxwood bundle and floral stem into a vase I’ve had and loved for years. I may switch this up a bit; I enjoy playing with decor and keeping things fresh. I also placed a new sage green pillow on the couch.
I brought my spring candlesticks back on the dining room table along with new soft cotton placemats.
Of course, on our back door, I hung another smaller eucalyptus wreath.
I have also made a sustainable switch in the kitchen to Blueland Dishwasher Tablets; they stay in a steel tin and then ship the plastic-free tablets as you need them.
Similarly, I use Dropps pods for our laundry, another sustainable swap; they are lovely and easy to use.
How are you welcoming spring?
