Happy October – one of my favorite months!
After decorating the interior for fall, I always love going to the pumpkin patch and picking out new pumpkins and mums for the season. I usually mix things up a little each year (if you’re interested, see last year’s, the first year in our house, and previously at our townhome).

This autumn, since I am 30 weeks pregnant, I went for smaller pumpkins and mums so that I could more easily handle and arrange them myself, since I love doing it and wanted to be able to.

Since I was going for small, I chose some different varieties this year, and think they’re so fun and sweet. I really love them and am happy with how this turned out. Also, I don’t think I’ve ever gotten red mums before, and wow, I just adore them!! This may be my new thing.

The next morning, I pulled the pumpkin stacks closer to the stairs and love this even more – they are much easier to view, and the arrangement feels more cohesive.

After visiting the pumpkin patch, I went across the street to Trader Joe’s for my annual autumnal shopping trip and found some old favorites plus new finds, like these mini pumpkins and gourds!

How cute are they?! They make me so happy when I’m in the kitchen.

I had to get a new cinnamon whisk (one is from last year, just for decoration) because they smell absolutely incredible – I highly recommend!

In the evening, I placed my pair of Halloween lanterns from Creekside Garden Center on either side of the driveway wall. This year, I’m using timer tea lights! Game changer.

Hoping your October is filled with all the sweet fall joys.
P.S. My fall decorations this year, beautiful Nashville places to visit in the fall, and my honey harvest snack mix.
