On Saturday, November 1, my mom hosted our baby shower! It was beautiful with blue bows, afternoon tea, sweet friends and family, and lots of joy. I got a maternity massage the day before and a blowout that morning so that I would be feeling my best, and it worked! I wore this dress (which I loved!) and my go-to comfy flats.

My mom and I had the living room, dining room, and screen porch set up for the party.

In the living room, we hung this custom banner. My dear friends Ellen and Haley picked out and arranged the flowers, and they were just a dream! We had bouquets throughout the house. My mom and I also set up this predictions/advice table with these cards, which were really fun to read later.

On the entryway table, we had cookies by Butterfly Bakehouse as a take-home treat.

In the dining room, we set up afternoon tea – one of my favorite things! Meagan of Pretty Lovely Teas (who also catered our wedding day lunch) provided autumn chicken salad and English cucumber tea sandwiches, white chocolate pumpkin and classic English scones, fresh fruit, and petits fours, as well as the tiers and china. Everything was delicious! My mom and I hung this darling teddy bear banner on the buffet.

We also set out The Republic of Tea’s Fall Harvest Tea Assortment. This time of year, I sip their Pumpkin Spice Black Tea every morning. We used this carafe to keep water hot for guests, and it stayed hot for the duration of the celebration. We placed these custom napkins with the tea as well.

Cold drinks, including water, iced tea, Spindrifts, and a little bubbly, as well as a fire, were on the screen porch. This ended up being the popular spot for people to be, and was where we opened gifts!

Haley snapped this photo of me just before guests arrived, beautifully capturing the joy of this pregnancy and of the afternoon.

For the first hour, we had our tea and treats and socialized, and then gathered for gift-opening.

It was a fun and sweet time, and I felt so loved!

We snapped some group photos before guests left – here I am with Ellen and Haley.

And before the shower with my mom. Everything was just perfect! I feel so grateful for this delightful day and for all the love, and I cannot believe we are just five weeks away from meeting our baby boy!
P.S. Second trimester summer, our October babymoon in Rosemary Beach, and autumn life lately, including cozy maternity style.
