It was another beautiful July in our small coastal Rhode Island town. Every summer, we spend a few magical weeks in the house my grandmother built there, and it always makes me want to move to New England. Last year, I soaked up the summer while in my second trimester, and this year, our baby spent these sweet and simple days with us. What a dream it was to share my happy place with him – the house on the dirt road, the beach with rocks out in the ocean and shingle style homes lining the shore, the quiet countryside. Life was a little busier and a little fuller in Rhode Island this year.

I loved sharing the ocean with Warren and feel immensely grateful that I am his mother. Below I am sharing more photos I took over dreamy July.

One of my favorite views on our beach.

You can’t beat a summer sunset.

The blue hydrangeas are one of my favorite parts of being in Rhode Island.

My grandmother’s house.

More beach views.

Seaglass I found on a walk one day at low tide.

The view at the end of the dirt road.

Can you spot the fawn?

I love our cozy, sweatshirt-wearing evenings at the house.

A walk by the harbor.

A beautiful beach day.

My last walk down the road this year.

The best way to shower.

How was your July? Have you enjoyed any summer getaways? Hoping you have a sweet August.
