I decorated for fall this weekend, and it brought me so much joy. I love switching up our home decor between seasons, and this is my favorite time of year – from fall through the holidays – to decorate. Last year, I stuck with mostly gold and bright tones, but this year, I decided to mix in some neutrals and more traditional fall colors and prints, along with a few playful elements. I’m really happy with how it turned out and excited to share everything with you!
The Living Room
Cream Velvet Pillow Covers | Buffalo Check Plaid Pillow Cover |
Similar Plaid Woven Throw | Gold Fleece Throw Blanket | Ceramic
Pumpkin
This year, I kept the living room more neutral, with pops of color. The cream velvet pillow covers are so soft, and I love how they complement the buffalo plaid and plaid prints. My exact plaid throw sold out from Target very fast, but I actually found it here, though I’m not familiar with this site. And I kept my fleece blanket on the couch, which I’ve had for a few years now – it’s butter-soft and incredibly cozy. I have a few other accents around the room that I found last year at Giftery in Nashville. Be sure to visit if you’re ever in town as they have wonderful seasonal decor (and gifts)!
The Mantel
White Cable Knit Pumpkins | Woven Pumpkins | Pom-Pom Garland |
Similar Faux Fall Leaves | Similar Runner | Cinnamon Broom
I added some whimsical elements to the mantel this year, like the garland from Etsy and cinnamon broom, which H found at Trader Joe’s. Our whole home has the scent of cinnamon, and it’s lovely!
The Breakfast Nook
Blush Plaid Throw | Similar Faux Dahlia Bundle | Plaid Placemats |
Harvest Decorative Basket | Mini Cable Knit Pumpkins
The breakfast nook connects to our living room and serves as the space where I drink my tea and catch up on news every morning. I love hanging out in this cozy room and think the pops of orange, pink, and red really brighten up the space and make it extra cheery.
The Bedroom
Pillow Sham Set in Sand | Similar Plaid Throw
This is the first year that I’ve changed a few things about our bedding for fall. I replaced our Striped Linen Quilt (in Shore) for a plaid throw and Striped Linen Shams (in Shore) for neutral shams. It was a simple, easy switch, but one that made a difference!
The Kitchen
Fall Cleaning Classics Set
I had to snag this cleaning set from Grove Collaborative, which is where we shop our cleaning supplies. The scent is a dream and perfect for fall. Get your own free gift set here!
