New year, new home! I took some time off of Instagram and my blog over the holidays to savor the season and to focus on moving. H, Cleo, and I are now in our new home, after much painting, installing, moving, and organizing! It feels refreshing to start 2021 in a new place, and I’m so excited to share new content with you here. It might take me a little time to ease back in as we get settled, and it’s hard to believe I will be back teaching at school on January 4. But for now, I’d like to simply share a few words and intentions for the new year:
Growth
This year feels like a good one to grow! I’ll be turning 30 in April, and I want to reflect on my 20s and hone in on what I really want in life going forward.
Curiosity
I’d like to stay curious this year, open to new possibilities, ideas, and transformations.
Peace
After an unsettled and tumultuous past year, I want to look for moments of peace and calm this year.
Nest
Since we are in a new home, I am eager to focus on what makes a happy, intentional home, filled only with things that serve or make me feel joy.
Well
As with all other years, I always want to strive to live well- not by latching on to trends, but simply by listening to what my body and mind need each day.
What words come to mind when you think about the new year? How do you feel about 2021?
“Let’s watch the old year die, with a fond good-bye, and our hopes as high as a kite.” -Bing Crosby in Holiday Inn
Cathy Sullivan says
Hi, Blythe -each new year, I pick the first word that comes to me as the word for the year, and then I think about how the word becomes the true guide for the year. I have named 2021 as the year of resilience. Let’s see how this unfolds!
Love,
Cathy
